Superbill Module

The Superbill module enables you to do the following: Easily create a detailed summary of services provided with procedures, problems, and modifiers linked to each other. Assign a summary of services to a particular health plan and subsequently export all of the available information to a billing system. Using report generating software, Superbill enables you to create user-defined reports based on the summary of services. Create Summary of Services

You can create a summary of services for a patient in the Superbill module. Select procedures. Select modifiers. Select an available diagnosis or add a diagnosis. Select a payer. Save the summary of services. After you select a procedure, problem, modifier, and payer, select Save in the Superbill module, or Save in the top toolbar. All of the information is stored in the database. Moreover, NextGen® Enterprise automatically imports the selected data into the NextGen® Enterprise PM or your billing system. To edit data in the Assigned Procedures area, select a field to display a list. If you make changes, select Save in the Superbill module, or Save in the top toolbar again. All of the changes are updated throughout NextGen® Enterprise, carried over into the NextGen® Enterprise PM, and entered in your billing system. Information is automatically sent from Superbill into your billing system. However, Superbill does not import information from your billing system. If you enter information

Handling Medical Procedures and Implantable Devices

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can record the medical procedures associated with a patient, and manage medical device reports within NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In Procedures module, you can add, modify, and delete any procedures related to a patient's medical history. The Procedures module also enables you to view who created and last modified any procedure. In implantable devices list, you can maintain a list of the patient's implantable devices that meet federal requirements. The Integrated Equipment module enables you to create and view medical device reports within NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In Superbill module, you can create a detailed summary of services provided with procedures, problems, and modifiers linked to each other. Add Modifiers in Superbill

You can assign up to four modifiers per procedure. Each selected modifier appears in the Assigned Procedures area. Similarly, any modifier entered in the specific modules of NextGen® Enterprise are carried over into the Superbill module. You can scroll across the display grid to view the selected modifiers. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > Superbill. The Superbill module window opens. In Available Procedures, select Modifier. Superbill Select a modifier category from the Modifier list. Note: To view the modifier categories, you must set up the modifier category in the Modifier Categories List in File Maintenance. Modify a Patient's Payer in Superbill

You can select or modify a patient's payer. The Select Payer window enables you to change the patient's payer. In the Superbill module, select Change. The Select Payer window opens. Select Payer Enter one or more search parameters in the Payer, Contact, Address, or Phone fields. Select Search. The search results appear. Select a row and select OK, or double-click the selected plan in the display window. To perform a new search, do the following: Select Clear. Enter new parameters. Select Search.
