Enter Radiology Test Results Manually

Radiology test results can be entered with NextGen Clinical Mesage Manager and an interface agent, or you can enter them manually. You must have permission to add results. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order. To expand the Results panel, select the Results down arrow. Select the New Document and Images Results Entry tab. Browse to the path that contains the desired diagnostic image, select the image, and then select OK. Note: This path for images can be defined with the System Administrator > Universal Preferences > Images > Image Path. To collapse the Results panel, select the Results up arrow. New Document and Images Entry Tab

On the New Document and Images tab, you can attach documents and images to lab and radiology orders. Test results are available in electronic form or paper form. If your test results are paper-based, you can scan the document and link it to the test order result. You can also search for other NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents on your file systems and other documents, such as Document Management (DM) images, and Microsoft® Word (.doc and -.docx formats). You must have permission assigned to link orders results and documents. Your System Administrator assigns your permissions. Automatic Document and Image Attachment to Test Results

With document interfaces, radiology documents that are imported can be automatically attached to an order through NextGen® Clinical Message Manager and an interface agent. The automatic portion works if you have the document interface. If the document is sent with an HL7® interface, it links the document to the order automatically. You can perform the following actions in the Results panel on the Orders Summary tab: Enter test results coming in with an interface using the Formatted Results, Grid Results, or Documents, Images, and URLs tabs. Manually enter results using the New Results Entry tab. Manually enter related documents using the New Document and Images Entry tab. View and add tracking comments. Send lab results to NextGen® PxP Portal. The actions available on the Results panel toolbar change depending on which type of results are being viewed or created.
