Add a Procedure in Superbill

You can add a procedure to the Superbill module. The procedures are added to the patient's chart. In the Assigned Procedures grid, the Rx on File column displays the value as 'Y' for an entry when the Rx on File check box is selected for the corresponding procedure in the Procedures module. Similarly, the Rx on File column displays the value as 'N', when the Rx on File check box is not selected for the corresponding procedure. Access the Superbill Module. In the Available Procedures section, select the Procedures tab. Select a category from the list. Scroll down the list of available procedures. Do one of the following: Select the appropriate check boxes to select the required procedures. Select the Procedure Search tab. Do one of the following: Enter a description or code for the procedure. Superbill Module

The Superbill module enables you to do the following: Easily create a detailed summary of services provided with procedures, problems, and modifiers linked to each other. Assign a summary of services to a particular health plan and subsequently export all of the available information to a billing system. Using report generating software, Superbill enables you to create user-defined reports based on the summary of services. Add a Diagnosis Code for Diagnosis

Click OK on the alert message. Select the procedure billing details in the grid. The data appears in the corresponding fields above the grid. Do one of the following: Click the Dx Description 1 and select the diagnosis code from the list. Click Cancel on the list. The diagnosis search window opens. Search and select the required diagnosis. The selected diagnosis and the associated code appear in the Dx Description 1 and Code fields respectively. If applicable, repeat the above steps for Dx Description 2 through Dx Description 4 to add additional diagnosis. Note: The diagnosis selected in the Dx Description fields uploads in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. Click Update. If you add additional data in the grid, the Verify Charges button appears in the Procedure Billing panel. Upload the Billing Data in the Procedure Billing Data

In the Procedure Billing panel, click the Auto Billing button. The billing data uploads to the grid. The Auto Billing button becomes unavailable for selection. Note: To display a diagnosis code in the grid, you need to first click the Auto Dx button in the Assessment/Plan panel to upload the diagnosis details in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. If you update or select the new values in the Documentation and/or Findings panel, the Auto Billing button becomes available for selection. Procedure Billing After the required billing data is available in the grid, click the Verify Charges button. The Charges verified check box appears. This check box is selected and cannot be cleared. Procedure Billing If a diagnosis code is not associated with the procedure code in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, then an alert message appears to add a diagnosis code after you click the Verify Charges button. Bill a Procedure

Click Procedure and select a procedure from the list. The list includes procedures selected in the current encounter. A list appears to select a procedure description associated with the code. Select a description from the list. The procedure description and the associated procedure code appear in the Procedure description field and CPT code field respectively. Click Dx Description 1 and select a diagnosis. The associated diagnosis code appears in the Code field. If applicable, enter a diagnosis in the Dx Descriptions 2 through Dx Descriptions 4 fields. Click Add. The documented procedures appear in the grid. Note: The diagnosis selected in the Dx Description fields uploads in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. To remove an entry from the grid, highlight a row in the grid and click Remove before submitting charges. Click the Verify Charges button. Submit Superbill

You can submit diagnoses and their corresponding procedures codes (CPT codes) to the superbill. Each procedure should have at least one diagnosis. You can submit up to four diagnoses for each procedure. When you add diagnoses and corresponding procedures, the application automatically saves them to superbill. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open an appropriate Cardiology template, for example, Intake-Cardiology, and select an appropriate Visit Type. Do one of the following: From the navigation bar, click Submit Superbill. From the navigational links, click the Submit Superbill link. If the Rendering Physician and Referring Provider details have not been not displayed automatically, select the appropriate details. Click the Description field to search for and add a diagnosis in the Procedure Diagnosis List section. Note: You can add up to four diagnoses for each procedure.
