Before you cancel future appointments for an expired patient, you need to access the patient/person information window.
 
 
  - Select the Lookup 
 icon to access the Modify Patient/Person Information window.
   
    The People/Patient Lookup window opens.
   
 
  - Enter the search criteria for the desired patient. Then in the Matching Records list, double-click the applicable patient.
   
    The 
 Modify Patient/Person Information window opens. 
    
    When expiring a patient, you can stop active recalls and/or cancel future appointments. Depending on how your practice is setup you may be required to enter a reason for stopping a recall and/or cancelling future appointments. Refer to the following sections for instructions for stopping active recalls and cancelling future appointments.
