Canceling future appointments for an expired patient involves the following steps:
Update date of expiry
Cancel future appointments
Open the Modify Person Information or Modify Patient Information window to update the expired patient data.
Select the Expired check box.
The Expired Date field becomes active.
Enter the Expired Date for the person or patient.
Do one of the following on the message that appears asking if you want to cancel future appointments:
Select Yes.
If appointment cancellation tracking is enabled in practice preferences, the Reason for appointment cancellation message opens.
Select a cancellation reason and select OK.
All future appointments are canceled.
Select No.
The future appointments remain in the system. A message appears asking you to cancel future appointments for the expired patients when you open the Modify Person Information or Modify Patient Information window or Chart for the expired patient in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
Select Cancel to return to the Modify Person Information or Modify Patient Information window.
