Import Files in a Batch

  1. Open NextGen® Document Management.
  2. On the toolbar, select Batches.
  3. In Image Batches, select the open menu button, and then select New.
  4. In Batch Information, enter a description for the batch of documents or images.
  5. In Acquire Profile, select File Import, and then select Acquire.
    The File Import window opens.
  6. Select the document or image file you want to import as part of the batch, and then select Open.
  7. Optional: If you want to cancel the import process, select Shift+C, and then when a confirmation message appears, select Yes to stop the file import process at the currently imported file,
    The batch contains all the files that are imported up to the point you canceled the process.
  8. To add more pages to the same document, select Acquire, and then import more files.
  9. To add another file to the batch, select Next Document.
    A new document within the batch is created.
  10. To secure the acquired batch to a user, select the user from the Secured to User list.

    You can secure the batch to up to 5000 users. When you secure a batch to a user, no other user with the same level of security privileges can access the batch. Any person with a higher security setting (such as an administrator) can still access a secured batch.

  11. Optional: To disable workflow tasking for the batch, select the Disable Tasking for This Batch checkbox.
  12. Select OK to save the batch.
    A significant event is created recording the action of importing a file.
