Configure Document and Image File Storage Locations

  1. Open File Maintenance.
  2. In Master Files, select System > Document Management, and then select Storage Locations.
    The Storage Locations List window opens.
  3. Select the open menu button, and then select New.
    The Storage Location window opens.

  4. In Storage Name, enter a name for the location.
  5. In Storage Type, select the File System option.
  6. In File Storage, enter the path of the storage location, or select the open folder button to select the network folder to serve as the storage location.
    The IP Address field displays the IP address of the selected location.
  7. In Application, select the Doc Mgmt option.
  8. Optional: If you want NextGen® Background Business Processor to monitor the storage location and assign added images to a NextGen® Document Management batch for filing, then in Directory Import, select the Automate Directory Import checkbox, and then configure the related fields that become active.

  9. In Note, enter any additional information about the storage location.
  10. Optional: To hide the storage location, select the Hide checkbox.
  11. Select OK to return to the Storage Locations List window.
  12. Select Close.
