Attach Notes to Documents and Pages

Before you begin

You must do the following in System Administrator:
  • Configure Create Quick Note operation right.
  • 0Select the Seal Chart Notes operation right.
  1. Open NextGen® Document Management.
  2. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for the documents or images.
    The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results.
  3. Double-click a patient record to open its associated images in the Search Results For: window, and then double-click the image you want to view.
    The NextGen® Document Management viewer displays the image.
  4. From the image viewer toolbar, select the Notes Notes icon, and then in the Note Details window, select Document Notes or Page Notes.
    The Quicknote: Document Notes or Quicknote: Page Notes window opens.
  5. Enter the subject, user note description, and note information.
  6. To lock the information, select the Seal Note checkbox.
  7. To prevent the note from printing, select the Non-printable checkbox.

    You or your administrator can change non-printable notes to printable notes. You can double-click and select Print to print the notes that are attached to documents. You can also delete the added quicknote.

  8. Select OK.
