Remove a Server from the Server List

There are two ways to remove a server from the Server List: Uninstall the NextGen® Background Business Processor Service Engine from the server. Delete the server in the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager. NextGen Healthcare recommends that you remove a server from the Server List by uninstalling the NextGen® Background Business Processor Service engine from the server. You should delete a server only when the server has been physically disconnected from the network before the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service was uninstalled. If the server is still part of your network, but you want to remove the server from the NextGen® Background Business Processor Server List, uninstall the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service on the server. Select the Server List tab in the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager. Highlight the server in the list and right-click. Select Delete from the shortcut menu. Configure Servers for NextGen® Background Business Processor

You must select a server for NextGen® Background Business Processor to use when it performs automated NextGen® Enterprise PM processes. To create a server that is eligible for NextGen® Background Business Processor to use, install the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine service on it. On the Server List tab, the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager lists each server on the network on which the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service exists. The Server List provides the following information for each NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service installation: The domain and server name for the server on which the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service is installed If the service is available If the service is running The last time the service was started and stopped The total duration of the package that it had run last The server capacity percentage A Gantt chart of each package based on the time The package server schedule An op

Configure NextGen® Background Business Processor Security Rights

For each group of users who access NextGen® Background Business Processor, you can set Module and Operation rights that control what actions the group of users is permitted to perform in System Administrator. In System Administrator, highlight the user group for which you want to set rights. Select the Rights tab. Expand the Modules folder. Locate and expand the Background Business Processor folder. The following rights are available: Jobs: Allows users to create and modify NextGen® Background Business Processor jobs. Packages: Allows users to create and modify NextGen® Background Business Processor packages. Schedules : Allows users to create and modify NextGen® Background Business Processor schedules For each right, you can set one or more options: View Add Update Delete Print Expand the Operations folder. Configure Enterprise and Practice

Each NextGen® Background Business Processor package you set up applies to a specific enterprise and practice. You can change the enterprise and practice to which the NextGen® Background Business Processor package that you created belongs. Select File > Change Practice to access the Change Practice window. When first accessed, the Change Practice window displays the currently active enterprise and practice. From the drop-down list for each field on the window, select the enterprise and practice for which you want to create or modify scheduled packages.
