Person Merge Job

You can create a job to automatically perform a NextGen® Enterprise PM Person Merge process.
Creating a person merge job requires setup work in both the NextGen® Enterprise PM and the NextGen® Background Business Processor applications. To create a Person Merge job, you must:
  • Create a Person Merge process in the NextGen® Enterprise PM application
  • Send the NextGen® Enterprise PM Person Merge process to NextGen® Background Business Processor
  • Create a Person Merge job for a package in NextGen® Background Business Processor
  1. Open or create a package and select the Jobs tab.
  2. Select the Open Menu button on the Package Properties window and select New.

    The Job Properties window opens.

  3. Enter a name for the job in the Job name field and select the Person Merge option from the drop-down list in the Job type field.
  4. Indicate the actions you want NextGen® Background Business Processor to take when the job successfully processes or fails to process.

You can configure how NextGen® Background Business Processor responds to job success or failure by selecting options in the following fields:

    • If job succeeds: Select the action you want NextGen® Background Business Processor to perform when the job processes successfully. The options are:
      • Quit package as success
      • Go to the next job
    • If job fails: Select the action you want NextGen® Background Business Processor to perform when the job processes unsuccessfully. The options are:
      • Quit package as failure
      • Go to the next job
  5. In the Notification e-mail field, enter the NextGen user name or group to whom the application sends notification emails when the job completes. If you enter multiple name and/or groups, separate them with commas.
To select users and groups from a list of the available users and groups:
    • Double-click the <Double-click to select Mail Recipient(s)> link. This displays the NextGen Users and Groups window.

    • In the Available Users/Groups column, highlight the user or group that you want to be sent a notification email and then use the right arrow button to move the name to the Message Recipients column. (You can use the left arrow button to remove names from the Message Recipients column.)
    • Select OK when you have finished adding recipients.
  6. You can activate one or both of the following options on the bottom of the Job Properties window:
    • Run this job in debug mode - When you activate this option for the job, the NextGen® Enterprise PM application writes debug messages to the NextGenDebugLog.txt file. Select the information icon for more information on this feature.
    • Log all SQL for this job - When you activate this option, the NextGen® Background Business Processor records the job commands to the allsql.log file. Select the information icon for more information on this feature.
  7. Select OK.
