Assign a Person Merge Process to a NextGen® Background Business Processor Package

After you create a Person Merge job in NextGen® Background Business Processor, you can assign a NextGen® Enterprise PM Person Merge process to a NextGen® Background Business Processor package and job combination.
  • If NextGen® Enterprise EHR demographic template is:
    • Added to one (but not both) of the people in the merge pair, NextGen® Background Business Processor keeps the NextGen® Enterprise EHR demographic template.
    • Added to both the people in the merge pair, NextGen® Background Business Processor skips the merge pair and writes a record to the NextGen database. The merge continues with the next merge pair in the merge set. The job is not marked as Failed.
    • Deleted from the system, NextGen® Background Business Processor skips the processing for the deleted template, but processes the remaining templates for the merge pair.
  1. Select a merge candidate process from the Person Merge window in NextGen® Enterprise PM by placing an 'x' in the check box for the row in the Merge Candidates list.

  2. Select the Send to BBP button.
    The Select BBP Package and Job for Merge Set window displays.

  3. Select the Package and Job combination that you want to run the person merge process.
  4. Select OK.
