APC Directory Import Job

The APC Directory Import job is added to the NextGen® Background Business Processor. This job will retrieve nightly the InstaMed Daily Enrollment file from NextGen® EDI and process the file through NextGen® Background Business Processor. It is recommended that this process be set up in NextGen® Background Business Processor to ensure that this file is processed each evening before APC statements are sent to InstaMed. You can create the job to download and export the APC statements by configuring the fields as described in the following table. Audit a Batch

You can audit the images that you select from a directory. If the images from the directory are indexed, you can post the images to one or more patients. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Batches. In Image Batches, select the open menu button, and then select New. In Batch Information, enter a description for the batch of documents or images. In Acquire Profile, select Audit Batch, and then select Acquire. The File Import window opens. Select the archived directory from where you want to import images as part of the audit batch, and then select Open. The viewer displays the previously-indexed imported images. Note: If the images are not indexed, a message appears stating that the audit found no images that are missing indexes. Access NextGen® Background Business Processor from the application launcher, or from NextGen® Enterprise PM through the Tasks menu or by selecting the NextGen® Background Business Processor icon. However, when using Single Sign On, if you are already logged on to NextGen® Enterprise EHR, NextGen® Enterprise PM, NextGen® Document Management, or NextGen® Optical Management, you can access NextGen® Background Business Processor without logging on again. Configure Document and Image File Storage Locations

Open File Maintenance. In Master Files, select System > Document Management, and then select Storage Locations. The Storage Locations List window opens. Select the open menu button, and then select New. The Storage Location window opens. Storage location window In Storage Name, enter a name for the location. Note: You can specify the function of each storage location when you set up the storage type workgroups. In Storage Type, select the File System option. In File Storage, enter the path of the storage location, or select the open folder button to select the network folder to serve as the storage location.
