Automating Background Processes

The NextGen® Background Business Processor assists you in scheduling packages (tasks that require manual execution) for automatic completion. For example, you can create a package that automatically generates and prints the Daily Balance report at the end of each day. You can configure the NextGen® Background Business Processor to send a notification email after it completes an automated NextGen® Background Business Processor process. Configure the NextGen® Background Business Processor to Process a Package Immediately

You can quickly create a one-time package schedule for the NextGen® Background Business Processor application to process immediately. Highlight the package in the Package List. Do one of the following: Right-click and select Queue Now from the short-cut menu. Select Queue Now from the Packages menu on the NextGen® Background Business Processor main menu bar.

Running NextGen® Background Business Processor in Debug Mode

You can run NextGen® Background Business Processor in a "debug" mode. The debug mode tells the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine service and the NextGen® Enterprise PM and Report Server applications to log debug messages: Turning on "debug" mode: In NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager, if the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine is not yet running, go to Engine > Start/Continue (debug mode).
