NextGen® Background Business Processor System Requirements

The NextGen® Background Business Processor server is a fat client running its own instances of NextGen applications. To avoid package and job failures, all NextGen® Background Business Processor servers must be updated to the current version during an upgrade (all end user workstations). Install the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service

The NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service is a program that runs in the background on the computer on which it is installed. Its job is to regularly query the NextGen database to determine if there are any packages to run on the server. To execute the requested processes, the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service launches modules of the NextGen® Enterprise PM application or the Report Server behind the scenes to perform the needed tasks. For example, if you use the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager to set up pending paper claims to print automatically every day at 3:00 PM, the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service sees the NextGen® Background Business Processor setting recorded in the NextGen database.
