View the Total Medications Details of a Procedure

The Medication Totals link opens the ASC Medication Totals template. The template holds the medication names and total dosage of each medication given to the patient.

In the Documentation Log panel, the medications documented for each procedure upload to the ASC Medication Totals template. However, to add medications in the ASC Medication Totals template, you must select the Include in Medication Totals check box for a medication entry in the Documentation Log panel on the Documentation Log Config practice template.   1. In the Documentation Log panel, click Medication Totals.
    The ASC Medication Totals template opens.

    In the Procedure field, the value All displays medication details of all procedures documented in the current encounter.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • To display medication details of a procedure, click All in the Procedure field and select a procedure from the list.

      The list includes procedures performed in the current encounter.

    • You can also click the left or right blue arrow to display the medications documented for the previous or the next procedure respectively in the current encounter.

      The total medications documented for the procedure appears in the grid.

  3. To view details of a medication, select a medication from the left pane.
    The details such as time, dose and route of medication display in the grid.
  4. Click Close.
