Initiate Documentation

The Initiate Documentation button on the Procedure Orders panel adds the documented procedure details to the Documentation Log panel on the ASC - Preprocedure and ASC - Intraprocedure templates of the Procedure visit type, if the case of the encounters is identical.
  1. In the Procedure Orders panel, highlight a row in the Today's Procedure grid and click the Initial Documentation button.
    The status of order changes to Completed in the Today's Procedure Orders grid.

    In the Documentation Log panel, the system displays the procedure order details in the grid.

  2. In the Documentation Log panel, select the procedure order details in the grid and click Add to view the entries in the ASC Documentation Log template.
    An asterisk(*) appears to the left of the entry type, category, and description values that are mapped in the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template.
