Procedure Orders Panel on the ASC - Pre admission Template

The Procedure Orders panel on the ASC - Pre admission template allows the nurse to document the procedure orders. The procedure orders are pre-configured on the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. For more information on procedure order configuration, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction Practice Template User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Procedure Orders If the current encounter includes only one procedure, the system displays the procedure in the Procedure field. If the current encounter includes more than one procedure, the system populates the first documented procedure in the Procedure field. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, then the procedure orders documented in the panel carry forward to the Procedure Orders panel on the other Ambulatory Surgery framework templates in the next encounters with the same case ID. Document Equipment Details on the Intra-Procedure Template

On the ASC - IntraProcedure template, navigate to the Equipment panel and click the Add button to open the ASC Equipment template. The Procedure field defaults with the value of the Procedure field on the ASC-Intraprocedure template. To select a different procedure, do one of the following: Click the Procedure field and select a procedure from the list. Click the left blue arrow or right blue arrow to navigate to the previous or next procedure respectively. Note: The Procedure field displays procedures previously documented in the Procedure panel. Select a value for Equipment Type from the pane. The short description of the equipment type appears as a navigation tab above left pane. The ASC Equipment template is configured on the Equipment Log practice template. Enter Assessments, Adverse Events and Quick Notes for the Procedure

The ASC Documentation Log template enables you to document patient's assessments, routine quick notes, any adverse events that occurred during the procedure, and the nursing diagnosis and nursing assessments initiated for the patient. This template is configured on the Documentation Log Config practice template. For more information on the configuration of the navigational tabs, entry type, categories/sub-categories, and descriptions on the ASC Documentation Log template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Documentation Log Config Practice Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The ASC Documentation Log template has a dynamic flow that displays additional content after each selection. The Procedure Orders panel enables the providers to document the procedure orders. The procedure orders are pre-configured on the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. Document an ASC Procedure

In the Documentation panel, click Add. The ASC Procedure Documentation template opens. ASC Procedure The Procedure field displays the procedure entered in the Procedure panel. If more than one procedure is entered in the Procedure panel, then the Procedure field displays the first procedure documented in the current encounter. The Procedure field includes left and right arrows. The left blue arrow is used to navigate to the previous procedure and the right blue arrow is used to navigate to the next procedure. If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then the arrows are not available. By default, the system selects the Procedure documentation option and displays the associated sections in the left pane. Select a section in the left pane. The corresponding list of values appears in the grid, and the navigational tab appears above the left pane.
