Configure Lab Completed Statuses

On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set and select Lab Completed Status. The existing data set items associated with the Lab Completed Status data set appear in the grid. Lab Completed Status data set Select Add. The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup If applicable, select Diagnosis description to search and select a diagnosis. The associated diagnosis code automatically populates. If applicable, select Provider and select a provider from Dbp Rendering Provider. Select Lab Name and select the lab vendor. The Lab ID field populates with the vendor ID associated with selected lab vendor. The Lab ID or the Vendor ID is configured in File Maintenance. In Status, enter a status that is considered as the final status when the final lab result is sent by the selected lab vendor. Select Save, and then select Close. The newly configured data set item appears in the Data Sets Setup template. Note: To add another item, select Clear For Add in

View Run-Time Result of Adding Test Dates Data Set Items

In the run-time TitleX template, document details in the Social History panel. In the STD Testing and Results panel, select the date of the test in HIV. The date entered in the HIV field automatically appears on the HIV Flowsheet template. To view the result, open the Intake template. Select Specialty as Family Practice and Visit Type as Office Visit. In the Reason for Visit panel, click Chronic Condition. The Chronic Conditions - Hpi template opens. Click Flowsheets. The Flowsheets template opens. Click HIV, and then click Update. The HIV Flowsheet template opens. In the Lab Tests section, the collection date entered in the TitleX template automatically appears in the Completed column and the updated status appears in the Status column adjacent to the HIV RNA field. Check Run-Time Result of Screening Tools Log Data Set

On the run-time Intake template, select a Specialty, and then select Office Visit. In the navigation bar, click the Screening Tools link. The Screening Tools template opens. On the Screening Tools template, do one of the following: To view the screening tools configured for the selected specialty, select Current Specialty. To view all the screening tools, select All. Note: If a specialty is not selected for an encounter, the All option is selected by default and all the screening tools appear on the Screening Tools template. Framework Template Set

You can configure the details related to the template set in the Framework Template Set section. From the Framework Template Set section, you can do the following: Framework Template Set section If you are a single-specialty practice, you can select a default specialty for all of the Framework templates. The Clear button enables you to clear the selection from the field. If you want to change the specialty in run time, select a new specialty on the templates in the encounter. You can select the Hide the HPI no launch check-box - Intake and Hide the HPI no launch check-box - SOAP check boxes to hide the Do not launch HPI check box in the Reason for Visit panel on the Intake and SOAP templates, respectively. Configure Lab Statuses and Incomplete Tests

You can configure lab statuses as final and incomplete results by using the Lab Status/Incomplete Test Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel, and then in the File Maintenance Mappings section, select the Lab Status / Incomplete Test Configuration link. The Lab Status/Incomplete Test Configuration window opens. Note: To filter the configurations, you can select the Status, Incomplete Result, and Removed/Deleted records only options. Select Lab vendor from the list. Enter the details in Test status to be included. Add comments about the test result. To record the details, select Add.
