Display Removed or Inactive Intervention Code Equivalents

You can view a removed or inactive code equivalent for an intervention or a test for a patient's guideline. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel, and then select the Show only Removed/Inactive checkbox. The removed or inactive intervention code equivalents are displayed. View Intervention Equivalents and Codes for a Guideline Test

You can view and add the intervention equivalent descriptions and codes for a patient's guideline. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel, and then in Intervention/Test Name, select a guideline test. All descriptions and codes configured for the selected guideline test appear in the panel. The File Maintenance Mappings grid displays the test code mappings to the selected test available in the NextGen test compendium. Set Up Tests and Orders to Update Care Guidelines

You can set up tests and orders to update care guidelines for a patient. A care guideline status is updated to completed when all of the following conditions are met: The ordering code (or description) is added to the guideline's list of Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions. The completed order type for the patient matches with the guideline type that is set. For example, lab guidelines will only update from lab orders. The order has both a valid Completed Date or Received Date along with a Completed or Results Received status. Mapping can be used to set up tests and orders to update guidelines, simplifying workflow in the process. These mapping procedures can be used by the care guidelines that comes shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine 8.3.x, 8.4.x and later.
