Residential Services Administration

The BH - Residential Administration template enables you to document the client's specific program and dependents as well as record personal belongings and medications upon enrollment in a residential program. You can record individuals authorized to have contact and those restricted from having contact with the client. All calls and visits can be documented in the grid in the Call/Visitor Authorization and Log panel. The Bed Board link opens the Residential Bed Board practice template and enables you to track residential clients. See the Track Residential Clients and Dependents section for more details. Shift Note Template Set

The Shift Note template set enables users to document on individual client charts three separate times in a day. The Shift Note tab is available when the Residential Services visit type is selected. This follows a tab for Residential Admin and includes three section tabs. Shift Note tab in Residential Services Visit Type for Behavioral Health The Shift 2 and Shift 3 section tabs include all of the same functionality and panels as Shift 1. However, the entered goals, objectives and interventions are specific to each shift and do not carry over from the previous shift template. Track Residential Clients and Dependents

The Residential Bed Board practice template enables you to track residential clients and dependents based on residential program, site, and room. To access the Residential Bed Board practice, template do one of the following: From the File menu, select System/Practice Template, on the Practice tab, set Show to All and double-click on Residential Bed Board in the list. Click the Bed Board sub-navigational link available in a Residential Services visit type. Select a filter above the top grid to filter the grid. Note: On first-time entry into this template, the filter defaults to All. The filters selected are saved at the user level. The next time a user accesses the template, the filters default to their last-saved selection. To review the client's dependent information, highlight a grid row with a client’s name who has a dependent at the facility and (find a row with Yes in the Dependent At Facility column). The templates available under the Residential Services visit type focus on documentation related to clients living in a treatment facility. Behavioral Health practices can record the admission of clients and maintain an ongoing record of a client's treatment. The following templates are available under the Residential Services visit type and focus on residential treatment documentation: BH - Residential Administration Residential Bed Board Shift Notes template set BH - Residential Administration is an encounter-based template for recording the comprehensive intake of a client staying at a treatment center. The template enables access to the most important information during an intake: client tracking, a dependent list (if applicable), medications brought in with the client, programs in which the client is enrolled, authorization for visitors or calls, and a belongings list, all in one template. Enter Details to Track the Client

The Client Tracking panel is used to document the client's location within the facility. In the Date field, click to enter a value that is editable. In the Time field, do one of the following: Click the clock button to populate the field with the current system time. Click the field to enter a different time. In the required, Location field, click to select from the customizable DB picklist. For more information on how to modify the custom DB picklist, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Custom DB Picklists Practice Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Click the Status field to select from the customizable picklist or free text up to 15 characters over the selected value. To enter additional information, click the Comments field. Click Add to save the data to the grid. To delete data from the related fields before it is saved to the grid, click Clear. To filter the grid, select a filter option.
