Enabling Order Set Creation in Run Time
On the My Custom Plan Setup template, your practice can select a default setting that enables users to create order sets directly on the My Custom Plan template. Select the Enable Order Module Setting on the Practice Configuration Template
You can select the enable Order module setting on the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Practice Configuration practice template, in the Orders/Plans section, select the Enable Order Module check box. Select Save and Close. Open the Practice Configuration Template
You can use the NextGen Enterprise EHR to open the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Select the Practice tab, and in Show, select All. Double-click Practice Configuration in the list or select Practice Configuration, and then select OK. The Practice Configuration practice template opens. Add Clinical References to the My Custom Plan Setup
From the NextGen® Enterprise top toolbar, select the File menu and double-click System/Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, under Show, select All. Scroll down to double-click My Custom Plan Setup. On the Order Set Configuration panel, do one of the following: Highlight an Order Set from the grid to update. In the Order Set Name field, click and then click the top, blank row to free text an entry in the field. In the Diagnosis Group field, click to choose a value from the list. Click the Dept. and Provider fields to select an item from the resulting list. Click the Class field to choose an order type from the list. In the Order field, click to select a value. Free text in the Reference field. Note: The Developer, Funding Source, and Reference Updated fields are used to support clinical decisions. Open Your Custom Practice Template with an Orders Management Order Control
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR Do one of the following: On the File menu , select System\Practice Template. If available, execute a template field trigger for selecting system and practice templates. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select one of the following options: To display all of the available practice templates, select All. If you have a user-defined, preferred list of templates, select Preferred to display them. You can use the Templates Preferences feature of NextGen® Enterprise EHR to define your list of preferred templates. Locate and double-click your practice's template with the Orders Management order control. To quickly find the template, select any row in the list, and enter the first few letters of the template name. The first matching template is highlighted in the list. Set My Custom Plan as the Practice Default
Note: In NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, 8.3 to 8.3.5, the Framework Content and Dx Groups Reference Systems system templates are used to display the My Custom Plan template in the My Plan tab. On the Practice Configuration template, scroll down to the Orders/Plans section. In the My Plan row, select Launch My Custom Plan (ord_my_custom_plan). My Plan Click Save and Close.
