Enabling Order Entry from Order Module
If you have installed the Care Guidelines Standalone upgrade for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Practice Configuration template displays the Enable Order Module check box. Clients have the option for placing orders for lab and radiology guideline items directly from the Order module when they select the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to launch the Order module whenever the check box for a guideline orderable item is selected. Users can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. After saving, the Order module closes and users return to their workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to “ordered” and the date ordered displays below the Status field. You can select the enable Order module setting on the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Practice Configuration practice template, in the Orders/Plans section, select the Enable Order Module check box. Select Save and Close. Setting Up to Place Orders Directly from the Order Module
You can set up the place orders for guideline of the patient from the Order module. You can directly place orders for lab and radiology guideline items from the Order module by selecting the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration practice template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to open the Order module whenever the check box for a guideline orderable item is selected. You can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. When you save the changes, the Order module closes and returns to the workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to ordered and the date ordered displays below the Status field. Open the Practice Configuration Template
You can use the NextGen Enterprise EHR to open the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Select the Practice tab, and in Show, select All. Double-click Practice Configuration in the list or select Practice Configuration, and then select OK. The Practice Configuration practice template opens. Show Order Set Creation Fields on My Custom Plan
From the File menu, select System/Practice Templates. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. Search for and double-click My Custom Plan Setup.
