Setting Up to Place Orders Directly from the Order Module

You can set up the place orders for guideline of the patient from the Order module.

You can directly place orders for lab and radiology guideline items from the Order module by selecting the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration practice template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to open the Order module whenever the check box for a guideline orderable item is selected. You can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. When you save the changes, the Order module closes and returns to the workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to ordered and the date ordered displays below the Status field.
