Enabling Order Entry from Order Module
If you have installed the Care Guidelines Standalone upgrade for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Practice Configuration template displays the Enable Order Module check box.
Clients have the option for placing orders for lab and radiology guideline items directly from the Order module when they select the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to launch the Order module whenever the check box for a guideline orderable item is selected. Users can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. After saving, the Order module closes and users return to their workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to “ordered” and the date ordered displays below the Status field.
