Review Patient's History Summary on SOAP

You can review and update a patient's history summary documented by the intake staff during the previous encounters, in the History panel on the SOAP template.

The various categories available in the History panel enable you to review the corresponding history records.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Open the SOAP template.
  3. In History, select a history category in the left pane, and review the history records.
    For the Social category, the social history details appearing may vary depending on the patient's age.
  4. To edit a history record, select the record in the grid, and update the desired details on the category specific history template.
  5. To delete a history record, select the record in the specific category, and select Remove.
  6. To make a different history review selection, select the History Review button and select the appropriate option for the respective history category as described below in the History Review template.
    Detailed document
    To display all history details in the encounter document.
    Reviewed, updated
    If you have reviewed and updated the patient's histories.
    Reviewed, no changes
    If you have reviewed the patient's histories and made no changes.
    History unobtainable
    If the information is not obtainable and then enter the reason in the field beside the option.
