Panel Controls

You can use panel for viewing existing details and documenting information. Panels display information according to type such as Vital Signs or Allergies. Panels enable you to configure the order for information that appears on a template. To change the order of the panels, select the title bar of a panel and drag it to a different position on the template. If you change the order of the panels, they remain in that order from patient to patient until a you change the order again. The Panel Control section includes two pairs of buttons. The Toggle buttons enable you to expand and collapse all the panels, and you can use the Cycle buttons to shift the panels from top to bottom, one position at a time. Reset the Panel Order

You can reset the order of the panels to the default state on a template. If you open another template in a workflow and return to the template on which the Cycle feature is applied or order of the panels is manually changed, the panels remain in the same order. Panels allow users to customize the order that information appears on a template. To change the order of the panels, users can click on the title bar of a panel and drag it to a different position on the template. Set Up Template Preferences

You can configure the default and preferred templates to automatically open the templates for an encounter. You can also configure the workflow after opening an encounter from the Workflow Appointment list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select Tools > Preferences. The Preferences window opens. Preferences window Select the Templates tab. To move a commonly used template in the preferred list, select the template in the Available Templates list and then select the right arrow. The selected template appears in the Preferred Templates list. To select all templates, select the double-right arrow. To set a default template, from the Default Template list, select a template. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends setting the Home Page (fts_home_page) template as a default template which provides a clinical summary of the patient to the provider. Change the Order of Assessments in the Grid

Because only the first 12 line items are available for billing, providers may want to ensure that certain assessments are included in the top 12 rows for the list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Assessments tab, select Sort to open the Reorder Assessments template. Reorder Assessments In the Existing Sort Order grid, select the row that you would like to be the first in the list. That selection becomes number 1 in the New Sort Order grid. Continue to select the available assessment rows until you have them in the desired order. If you select a row in error, select Undo Last. To start over, select Undo All. When the desired order fills in the New Sort Order grid, select Save & Close.
