Panel Controls

You can customize the order in which information appears on a template. Panels display information according to type, such as Vital Signs or Allergies. Templates can contain one or more panels used for viewing existing information and documenting new information. Panels allow users to customize the order in which information appears on a template. To change the order of the panels, users can select on the title bar of a panel and drag it to a different position on the template. If a user changes the order of the panels, they remain in that order from patient to patient until the order is changed again. Options on the Expand Panel The Panel Controls section includes two pairs of buttons. The Toggle buttons expand and collapse all the panels, and the Cycle buttons rotate the panels through all positions from top to bottom, one position at a time. Panel and Section Controls

You can expand or collapse all the sections or panels and change their order on a template. You can change the order of the sections or panels by selecting the title bar and dragging it to a different position on the template. If you change the order, it remains the same until you change it again, and the changed order is reflected on all patient charts. The section or panel controls includes two pairs of icons. The Expand/Collapse All or Toggle icons enable you to expand and collapse all the sections or panels, and you can use the Cycle icons to shift their position, one position at a time. Customizing the Template Panels

You can expand, collapse, and re-arrange the template panels as needed. Each template consists of horizontal panels that are used to organize your documentation by relevance. Reset the Panel Order

You can reset the order of the panels to the default state on a template. If you open another template in a workflow and return to the template on which the Cycle feature is applied or order of the panels is manually changed, the panels remain in the same order. You can find the details about options available in the Panels Control. Button Description Expand All Opens all the panels simultaneously. Collapse All Closes all the panels in the template. Cycle Down Moves the lower panel to the top and expands it while collapsing all other panels. Cycle Up Moves the upper panel to the lower and expands the panel that moved to the top position. Set up Toggle Panel Trigger

The Toggle Panel action enables users to expand and collapse one or more panels on a template. Note: Another way to toggle collapsible panels is through a toggle button on the panel header. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Toggle Panel action.The Toggle Panel window opens. This window lists each collapsible panel that has been added to the template.
