Configure Community Resources
Community resources configured on the Community Resource Setup practice template appear on the Community Resources template in the All Resources grid. Resource data can be added, updated, and removed using the fields above the grid. From the File menu, select System/Practice Template. Select the Practice tab and select the All option. Select Practice Configuration Template to open the Practice Configuration Template. Select Community Resource Setup in the navigation bar.The Community Resource Setup template opens. Community Resource Setup Enter the type of resource such as Pharmacy, Medical Office, and Dental in the Type field. Note: The system creates a DB picklist of the values entered here to be used for future entries. Enter the name of the resource in the Resource field. Use the Street, City, State and Zip fields to enter the address of the resource.The system concatenates the address details into the Address column in the grid. Remove a Community Resource from the Patient's Resources Grid
On the SOAP template, navigate to the Assessment/Plan panel. Select Community Resources in the left pane to open the Community Resources template. Do one of the following: Highlight the desired resource and click the Remove selected resource arrow. Select Automatically perform "Include" or "Remove" action on row select and click the required resource in the All Resources grid. The highlighted item is removed from the grid and moved to the All Resources grid. Select Save & Close. Parent topic: Community Resources

Community Resources
The Community Resource Setup template enables you to document local resources and supports recommended to the patient to aid in meeting the patients' psychosocial needs. Community resources for your area must first be configured on the Community Resource Setup practice template. A printout of recommended resources can be given to the patient at checkout. You can access the Community Resource Setup template from the following locations of NextGen® Enterprise EHR: Assessment/Plan panel on the SOAP template Cardiology - SOAP template - as a sub-navigational link navigation bar Checkout template - as a sub-navigational link Document Library PRAPARE® Assessment Tool template The Community Resources template contains the All Resources and the Patient's Resources grids. Based on the information entered on the Community Resource Setup practice template, the application displays data such as Type, Resource, and Address in the All Resources grid. Remove a Procedure
In the Procedure Setup panel, you can remove a procedure from the grid. In the Procedure Setup panel, select a row of procedure in the grid. Click Remove. The selected procedure removes from the grid. Parent topic: Configure Procedures

Record Community Resources Discussed with Patients
You can record the community resources details that you have discussed with patients. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For a patient encounter, open a template. For example, Intake To open the navigation bar, select Navigation. Select Community Resources. The Community Resources template opens. Community Resources Review the available resources in the All Resources grid. To filter the grid by a specific type of community resource, in the Type field, select a value from the list. To add the resource to the Patient's Resources grid, do one of the following: In the All Resources grid, select the resource, and then select Include selected resource. Select the Automatically perform "Include" or "Remove" action on row select check box, and then in the All Resources grid, select the resource. The community resource item is added to the Patient's Resources grid. To view community resources discussed in previous visits, select the Prior visits option. Select Save & Close.
