Remove a Category
In the
Navigational Item 2
panel, you can remove a category from the grid.
On the
Documentation Log Config
practice template, expand the
Navigation Item2
panel.
Click
Entry Type
and select an entry from the list.
The categories associated with the entry type appear in the grid.
Select the category to be removed from the grid.
Click
Remove
.
A confirmation message appears.
To confirm, click
Yes
.
The category is deleted from the grid.

Edit a Category
In the Navigational Item 2 panel, you can modify the categories in the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Navigation Item2 panel. Click Entry Type and select an entry from the list. The categories associated with the entry type appear in the grid. Select the category you want to modify. The selected category appears in the field above the grid. Make relevant edits. Click Update. The modified category updates to the grid. Configure Categories for a Documentation Log Entry
In the Navigation Item2 panel, you can configure categories for an entry type. The configured categories appear after you select an entry type in the Documentation Log panel on the Documentation Log Config practice template. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Navigation Item2 panel. Click Entry Type to open a list of entry types configured in the Navigation panel. Select an entry type from the list. Note: After you select an entry type from the Entry Type field, the system changes the Navigation item 2 field label to the Navigation item 2 value documented in the Navigation panel. In Category, enter a category to be associated with the selected entry type. To clear data from the Navigation item 2 field and start over, click Clear. Click Add. Note: An alert message displays if the system detects any duplicate Navigation item 2. The category adds to the grid. Remove a Sub-Category
In the Sub Navigational Item 2 panel, you can remove a sub-category from the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Sub Navigation Item 2 panel. Click Entry Type and select an entry from the list. Click Navigational Item 2 and select a category from the list. The sub-categories configured for the selected entry type and category appear in the grid. Select the sub-category in the grid. Click Remove. A confirmation message appears. To confirm, click Yes. Remove an Entry Type from the Navigation Panel
In the Navigation panel, you can remove an entry type from the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Navigation panel. Select a row in the grid. Click Remove. If the entry type has associated values, a confirmation message appears. To confirm, click Yes. The selected entry type removes from the grid. In the Sub Navigational Item 2 panel, you can modify the sub-categories in the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Sub Navigation Item 2 panel. Click Entry Type and select an entry from the list. Click Navigational Item 2 and select a category from the list. The sub-categories configured for the selected entry type and category appear in the grid. Select a sub-category in the grid. The selected sub-category and the short description appear in the Sub navigational item 2 and Short description fields respectively. Make relevant edits in the applicable fields. Click Update. Add a Sub-Category to a Category
In the Sub Navigation Item 2 panel, you can configure sub-categories for a category associated with an entry type. The categories are configured in the Navigational Item2 panel on the Documentation Log Config practice template. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Sub Navigation Item 2 panel. Click Entry Type and select an entry type from a list of entry types configured in the Navigation panel. Click Navigation Item 2 and select a category from a list of categories configured in the Navigation Item 2 panel. In Sub navigation item 2, enter a sub-category for the selected category. The sub-category updates the Short description field. If applicable, modify the Short description for the sub-category. The short description appears as the navigational tab in the Documentation Log panel on the practice template and on the ASC Documentation Log run-time template.
