Record Vital Signs for the Challenge Test

You can document the vital signs of a patient to perform the Challenge Tests.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Testing - Allergy template and expand the Challenge Tests panel.
3. To select the type of challenge test from the list, in Administration, select Type.
   A list appears showing the allergens that are ordered.
4. Select the allergen.
   NextGen® Enterprise EHR fills the Type and Allergen fields automatically.
5. To enter the time, do one of the following:
   • Select the stopwatch icon for the Time field under Results to record the current time.
   • Select the drop-down arrow for the Time field and use the Time Entry window to enter the time.
6. Record the patient's vital signs details.
7. To indicate that the recorded vital signs are the initial set, select the Baseline check box.
8. Select Add.
   NextGen® Enterprise EHR adds the baseline vital signs to the grid and inserts a dashed line below the entry. The baseline entry remains at the top of the grid.

   Note: When the baseline vitals are added to the grid, the Baseline check box is disabled.
