Ophthalmology Diagnostic Tests Setup Data Set

The Oph diagnostic tests data set manages records that control how certain diagnostic tests used by Ophthalmology are processed. These data set records control billing options, how records are sent to the Orders module, computerized provider order entry (CPOE), and if they are displayed on the test ordering template. Each row in the grid represents a single diagnostic test. The following shows the diagnostic test information contained in the Oph diagnostic tests data set as it appears on the Order Tests – OPH template in the Select tests section. Up to 40 tests display. Tests performed today and tests to be performed in the future can be ordered from the Order Tests – OPH template. Tests that are ordered are saved to the order_table and they can be uploaded to the Orders module. Map SNOMED Code with the Diabetic Eye Exam Procedure

On the Data Sets Setup template, click Data Set and select Quality Reporting Order Findings xref. The existing data set items associated with the Quality Reporting Order Findings xref data set appear in the grid. Data Sets Setup Click Add. The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup If applicable, click Diagnosis description to search and select a diagnosis. The associated diagnosis code automatically populates. If applicable, click Provider and select a provider from Dbp Rendering Provider. In xref type, enter the system reference table name. In procedure code, enter the procedure code. In finding value, enter the physical examination value. For example, Negative, Normal, and so on. In code value, enter the SNOMED code. In code system, enter SNOMED. Click Save, and then click Close. The newly configured data set item displays in the Data Sets Setup template. View Run-Time Result of Mapping SNOMED Code with the Diabetic Eye Exam Procedure

Before you view the run-time result, ensure to add new codes to the Ophthalmology Exams category, if available. Else, create a new category for Ophthalmology Exam, and then add the new codes. In the run-time Intake template, select Specialty as Ophthalmology and Visit Type as Office Visit. Click the Standing Orders link. The Office Services template opens. In the Diagnostic History Entry panel, click Diagnostic study type and then select Ophthalmology Exams from the resulting list. Click Diagnostic Study and select Intermediate eye exam, established patient from Service Item Mstr dbpicklist. The Procedure code automatically appears. Click Date performed and select a date from the calendar. Document other details, if required. Click Add to Grid. The SNOMED code that is mapped to the selected procedure code in the Quality Reporting Order Findings xref data set is updated in the database to get the Quality Reporting credit.
