Care Team Members

You can consolidate a list of care team members for a patient on the Care Team Members template. The patient care team can include clinical professionals, clinical pharmacist, agencies, organizations, relatives who act as care givers, and any other individual involved directly or indirectly with the care of the patient. These consolidated details in the Care Team Members template provide a comprehensive and up-to-date list of a patient’s care team members and meet the Stage 3 Quality Reporting Certification for 2017. The list includes patient care team members who are entered throughout NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and the members added using the NPI Registry Search window. However, members added using the Care Team Members template only appear on the Care Team Members template and are shared with the Patient Care Team panel on the Care Plan template. NextGen Healthcare recommends you to use some of the common features, such as Patient Information Card, panel controls, and links from the left navigation bar, that are available in a standard visit template set for best work outcomes. Patient Information Card You can view pertinent information about a patient through the Patient Information Card (PIC). Care Guidelines Configuration

You can configure the care guidelines for a patient on the Care Guidelines template. You can use the Care Guidelines templates in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to handle health maintenance and disease management, including guideline testing and screening, and recommended care. The provides detailed information about configuration required before the Care Guidelines templates are used in a clinical setting, it is suitable for the individuals who are responsible for setting up and maintaining the system. Access Medication Configuration Template

A practice can customize the content that appears in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine (formerly NextGen KBM). This section provides access instructions for the Medication Configuration system template. Log on to NextGen® Enterprise (formerly NextGen Ambulatory EHR). From the File menu, select System/Practice Template. The Select Template window appears. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of system templates appears in the System tab. Care Guidelines Introduction

You can control the functions for a paitient using the Care Guidelines template. In NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Care Guidelines templates are used to handle health maintenance and disease management functions, including guideline testing and screening, and recommended care. The Care Guidelines templates are available from all the specialty template sets. CAUTION: The Care Guidelines templates are used in a clinical setting with patients. Individuals responsible for maintaining the system need to carefully review the content available on the templates. You can update the content as necessary to meet the needs of the practice.
