Managing Basic User Interface Functionality

NextGen Healthcare recommends you to use some of the common features, such as Patient Information Card, panel controls, and links from the left navigation bar, that are available in a standard visit template set for best work outcomes. Patient Information Card You can view pertinent information about a patient through the Patient Information Card (PIC). Template Headers for Displaying Patient Information You can review template headers for patient and change the display. Viewing Risk Factors You can view details about patients' risk factors to help you to evaluate their health condition. Contagion Risk You can document to contagion exposure for patients and their travel to areas at high risk for such exposure. Panel Controls You can use panel for viewing existing details and documenting information. Telephone Communication

You can view and document the communication between a practice and a patient or a patient's representative. Depending on your preference, you can view and document telephone interaction details on the Telephone Call or Telephone Communication template. With the Telephone Call template you can document the reason for a call, add additional comments, and create tasks to assign to a patient's task list. You can access the template from the Template module. Telephone Call With the Telephone Communication template, you can quickly document details of telephone interactions with patients. The template includes the communication component that works seamlessly with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to streamline the documentation process. You can access this template from the Template module for all specialties. NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine ships with the Telephone Call template as the default.
