The Provider Workflow

You can review the patient's medical summary details on the Home Page template and then open the SOAP and Finalize templates. OB Provider Workflow

The provider workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves reviewing the information documented by the intake staff and proceeding with the patient encounter by documenting information on the Prenatal Detail and SOAP templates. On the first visit, open the Gestational Age template must be opened and verify the due date. Reviewing Obstetrics Details by Providers A provider can start the visit by reviewing the patient information documented during the previous patient encounters on the Home Page template for the Obstetrics specialty. Obstetrics Home Page Template You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Obstetrics template. You can review and generate documents of a patient's checkout process. After completing the intake staff and provider workflow, the front office staff initiates and completes the patient checkout process on the Checkout template to do the following: Review and/or process all orders. Generate lab and/or radiology requisitions, if needed. Generate referral documents, if needed. Schedule future appointments as ordered. Generate the Patient Plan and Checkout documents, if needed. Viewing Template Links on the Checkout Template You can customize the links to meet your needs on the Checkout template. Open the Follow-up or Disposition Template You can document the follow-up details for a patient using the Follow-up/Disposition template. You can use the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document encounters on the Family Planning visit type. You can use the following templates to document the Family Planning Office Visit workflow: Intake Histories SOAP Finalize Checkout Before you begin documenting the Family Planning Office Visit, you can pre-configure certain optional settings for quick access of some templates and features.
