Provider Workflow

The provider workflow includes the following: Reviewing and updating the data documented by the intake staff during the patient encounter and providing any additional information. Documenting the problems and various physical examination findings. Documenting the performed procedures. Documenting the treatment plan. Documenting Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes. Review of Dermatology Details by Providers You can start the visit by reviewing the patient information documented during the previous encounters. Dermatology Home Page Template You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Dermatology template. Overview of the GET Template You can use GET template instead of SOAP. Documenting SOAP Information You can review and modify the patient’s reasons for visit, review of systems, and vital signs documented by the intake staff on the SOAP template. Graphical Exam Tool (GET) Component

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component enables you to create and manage GET settings. This section explains how to create and manage GET settings for profiles, findings, exam tools, procedures, attributes, and reasons for visit. This section also explains how to map findings and exam tools for a given practice, location, and provider. To extract data from the GET into documents, set up a Graphical Exam Summary macro in the Document Builder. Graphical Exam Tool (GET)

The GET provides powerful, image-driven charting that incorporates regionally specific and highly detailed enhanced visual content with a comprehensive set of views and mapped ICD-10 codes. The tool offers extensive out-of-the-box content including 30 common findings with corresponding Quick Exam defaults mapped to specific findings. The GET allows you to select a finding from the list and click a spot on the image to mark the exact location of that finding. The marked locations are added as a record. When you click any of the links for a finding record, the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (full skin exam) template opens and you can document additional details of the findings, for example, exam description, management, and plan. You can identify the areas examined on the GET and indicate if the patient expressed a desire for a full skin exam. This capability also exists on the Reason for Visit panel on the Intake template. Annotate Images to Document the Location Findings

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) is a drawing tool that enables providers to annotate an image and convert the annotations into text to document and track patient findings. The findings can be pulled into the corresponding template fields. You can add, remove and update the findings. The list is automatically sorted and filtered based on the reason for visit. You can create a default action based on each finding. In addition, you can add photographs required for findings and action type combinations. You can add multiple photographs for any finding. Findings in GET

A finding is a diagnostic impression. For example, if a patient has skin cancer, the finding may be basal cell, squamous cell, or melanoma. The profile properties are defined for using the GET in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can add additional findings for the GET using the GET Settings. The findings can then be added to template defaults using the Template Defaults Setup system template. GET identifies the findings in the Qualifier3 column. The saved template default type must be saved as a DB picklist. Access the GET Settings Window

On the Intake template select Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Office Visit. To open the GET template, click GET tab. To open the menu, click the icon. The Options and Setting Popup Menu opens. From the menu, click Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool - Settings window opens. Parent topic: GET Settings
