Documenting Information in the OB Gestational Orders Template

You can access the OB Gestational Orders template from thePrenatal Detail > Order Labs > OBGYN Lab Master > Labs > Orders by Gestational Week. The lab results fills the Order Management template, Lab Results - Obstetrics template, the Order module, and the master document. Before using the OB Gestational Orders template, you have to select the OB Prenatal- Initial visit type and enter the applicable information in the Gestational Age tab. Manage Orders Using Order Management

For more information on Order Management, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Management. The Order Management window opens. Select the order to be updated, and then select Edit. The All Order Management window opens. Enter the details. In the Result/report section, select the Received or Completed check box. The Details button appears when the ordered test is configured and included in Manage Custom Links. Select Details. Enter the details in the Interpretation and Result details fields. Select Save, and then select Close. Components of the Prenatal Detail - Obstetrics Template

You can document the necessary information about prenatal encounters and review data from previous encounters to ensure safe and effective care for a pregnant woman and her baby on the Prenatal Detail - Obstetrics template. The following panels enable you to document the necessary information during a prenatal visit: General OB Problems Prenatal Visits Assessment/Plan Orders Diagnostic Studies The obstetric group of panels are used for orders: Initial Orders 24-28 Week Orders 32-37 Week Orders Genetic Screening and Testing Maternal Carrier Screening Fetal (Aneuploidy) Chromosomal Testing Ultrasound Orders Optional Orders You can view telephone calls and other communications outside of visits in the Communication panel. Note: You can open the OB Gestational Orders template from the OBGYN Lab Master template. The lab results opens the Order Management template or the Order module. Review Optional Orders

You can place orders for the tests in the Optional Orders panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Optional Orders panel. The associated lab orders appear in the grid. Optional Orders Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark appears. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed check box. The reviewed check mark appears for all orders with results. To update the order obtained interval date range, select the row and update the details on the Edit Test Interval w

Place Obstetric Lab Orders

The Obtained Interval range is available based on the prenatal details available on the Gestational Age template template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. Open the Prenatal Detail template, and then expand the Initial Orders panel. The lab orders associated with the Obtained Interval date range appears in the grid. Note: The Obtained Interval date range is based on the details of the Gestational Age template. Initial Orders To order a test through the Historical Test - Quick Entry template, double-click the test name. For the D(rh) test, if the result is negative, the result appears in red color. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Module. The Order Module opens. In the Orders Summary tab, select Labs. Select New > Lab Order. The Create New Lab Order template opens. In the Performing Entity list, select Labcorp. In the Select Tests section, select Search All. The Search Tests window opens. In Test description, enter a description of the test, and then select Find All. ABO Grouping Select ABO Grouping, and then select OK. Select Save. Expand the Results panel, and then select New Results Entry. To enter the collection date, select Coll. Date Entry. In the Component field, for example, enter ABO Grouping.
