Care Guidelines Clear/Restore Utility

You can clear and restore the content of a care guideline for any patient data. Use the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template to reset care guidelines data and settings back to the original defaults. You can do the following: Restore the NextGen healthcare provided default definitions for care guidelines, this removes care guidelines content you have configured at the practice level. Choose to clear all the care guidelines information at the patient level, such as guidelines activated for patients and their reasons, and any customizations made. This allows you to start over with using care guidelines. CAUTION: Restoring care guidelines default definitions and clearing care guidelines related patient data is a one-time use function. After you decide to run this utility, you cannot recover the data. This utility should not be run when you are using the application. Select and Review Care Guideline Items to Restore

You can review and restore a patient's care guideline items using the Report and Restore panel. In the Report and Restore panel, you can search for specific care guideline items and their associated patient level data to review and then restore, if you are acting during the same cleanup session in which they were removed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, Select System/Practice Templates. The Select Template window opens. From the Practice tab, select All. A list of practice-level templates opens. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK. The Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template opens. In the Report and Restore panel, select to apply the search to All Practices or the Current Practice. Restore Practice Level Default Care Guidelines Content and Definitions

You can restore a practice level data to NextGen default content using the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, Select System/Practice Templates. The Select Template window opens. From the Practice tab, select All. A list of practice-level templates opens. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK. The Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template opens. Expand the Retore NextGen Default Care Guidelines Definations - Practice Level panel, select the appropriate option where to restore care guidelines default content. You can choose a different option for each category of content you restore: Apply to all current practice only Apply to all practices Select the check box corresponding to the category of guidelines you wish to restore. Restore a Guideline Item

You can restore a care guideline item for a patient using the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. You can restore a care guideline or guideline item removed previously, so that it can be followed for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Activate Guidelines panel, select the Conditionfrom the list. Select Add to activate it again. This re-applies the guideline. Select Save & Close. Note: When you re-apply a guideline, the application goes through all of the existing items that are active, and only re-applies the one that is missing from the set for the condition. Open the Recommended Care Practice Template

You can access the Recommended Care practice template using the Care Guideline Setup practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel, and select the Recommended Care link. The Recommended Care practice template opens. Reset Patient-Level Care Guidelines Content

You can reset a patient's care guidelines using the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, Select System/Practice Templates. The Select Template window opens. From the Practice tab, select All. A list of practice-level templates opens. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK. The Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template opens. To remove the care guidelines, expand the Reset Patient Care Guidelines panel, and then do one the following: Select the Permanently remove old pre-Care Guidelines Protocols records check box. If required, select the Include ALL practices check box. Select the Permanently remove all patient Immunization guideline records check box. If required, select the Include ALL practices check box.
