Template Default Sets Panel

The Template Default Sets panel is where you can create new default sets, copy an existing set, and delete sets, as needed. Default sets can be created for different clinical scenarios based on the patient characteristics such as age, sex, or diagnosis. Create Template Default Sets in Run Time

The Quick Save icon enables you to create template default sets in various locations throughout the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. This feature enables you to save selected data fields, check boxes, and options, under a unique template default set name. On any template with the Quick Save icon, populate the data fields and then select the check boxes and options to be included in the default set. Click the Quick Save icon.The Save Template Defaults template opens. The Default Set Category field populates based on the location of the Quick Save icon. The All Specialties option is selected by default to make the template default set available for all specialties. If you want this template default set to be available only for the current specialty, select the Current Specialty Only option. The Template to Save section enables you to select the templates to be included in the set. Manage Diagnoses for Quick Notes Panel

The ICD-9 codes associated with a Quick Note must be manually updated to their ICD-10 equivalent code. Use the Manage Diagnoses for Quick Notes panel to update template defaults in Quick Note from ICD-9 to ICD-10 codes and descriptions. Note: The Manage Diagnoses for Quick Notes panel is intended for one-time use only when the transition is made from ICD-9 to ICD-10. Access the Template Defaults Setup system template and expand the Manage Diagnoses for Quick Notes panel. Select a row in the grid. The data from the selected row appear in the corresponding fields below the grid. Click the ICD-10 Description field. The diagnosis search window opens. Search for and select the ICD-10 equivalent code. Click Update to save the new value. When all ICD-9 codes have assigned ICD-10 equivalents, in the upper-right corner of the Template Default Sets panel, select the code format (ICD-9 or ICD-10) and click the Activate button to update the grid. Template Defaults Setup System Template

The Template Defaults Setup system template is the central location for managing and configuring template default sets. NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine (formerly NextGen KBM) is packaged with default sets that are used throughout the different specialties. The related Template Default Sets system template enables you to configure default sets that can later be applied to a template in run time. A default set includes specific values that populate the assigned data fields. Template default sets can also be created in run time using the Quick Save icon. To apply default values, open a template having one or more default sets, then select a default set to quickly populate the data fields with the values contained in the selected set. You can edit the values and make necessary changes in the applicable fields before saving or closing the template. Configuring a Default Template Configuring a Default Template Templates in the Available Templates list are listed using their display name. The Default Template list is used to select a preferred template to open, and lists templates by their formal Template Editor name. default template field Note: In Preferences, the Default Template field list of templates displays the formal names used in Template Editor. This name is different from the user-friendly display name seen in run-time. Display names are seen in the Templates Available list in the section above the default template fields. Patient Demographic Template

You can configure Patient Demographics template related details in the Patient Demographic Template section. Patient Demographic Template section The Patient Demographic Template section enables you to configure the following: Patient Checked In options - If you select email, tasking, or pt. tracking option, Patient Checked In on the Patient Demographics template opens the corresponding template. For example, if you select pt. tracking option, the system opens the Patient Tracking template from Patient Checked In.
