Map Template Medication to GCN

You can map template medication to a generic code number (GCN) in the Data Sets Setup practice template. Open the Data Sets Setup practice template. In the Data Sets field, select Med GCN Mapping and then click Add. The Template Data Sets Setup - [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup Select an FDB Med name. The corresponding GCN and dose are automatically filled. In the Template Med Name field, enter the medication name used in the run-time template and then click Save. Update or Remove GCN Mapping

Open the Data Sets Setup practice template. In the Data Sets field, select Med GCN Mapping. All the existing mappings appear in the grid. Select a record. Map the Test or Code Information on the Data Sets Setup Practice Template

You can map the test or code information using the Data Sets Setup practice template. Practices using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine 8.3.x and later, can map test codes and description to guidelines using the Test Codes data set on the Data Sets Setup practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Data Sets Setup and then select OK .The Data Sets Setup practice template opens. Select the Data Set field and select Test Codes from the DB list. Data Sets Setup Select the Test column to sort the list by Test Name, and then review the existing mappings for the guideline. Select the Add button.The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Select in the Test field to open the Data Sets DB picklist. Data Sets Setup

The Data Sets Setup practice template enables you to create picklist values, enables the customization of medications used within a specialty or template, updates the stored procedure that returns values for the last completed date, and so on. On the Data Sets Setup template, the Data Set field displays a list of data sets. The Info box provides a description of the selected data set. The grid displays the data set items associated with the selected data set. It includes the items packaged with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and the items that are added by the client. You can add, edit, or remove the data sets items using this template. The Manage Dx Groups/Reference Systems link points you to the Dx Groups Reference Systems template. This template enables you to customize diagnosis groups and reference systems.
