Bypassing the Add/Update Button When Entering Assessments

Practice Preferences Selecting Add Assessments on 1 click enables you to include the selected diagnosis description and code to the Today's Assessment grid without having to click Add/Update: If the practice setting default is set to Add Assessments on 1 click, upon opening the template, the check box is automatically selected by default and the one-click functionality is active. If the practice setting is not turned on, the check box is not selected upon opening the Add or Update Assessment template. After the Add or Update Assessment template opens, any changes to the selection of the Add Assessments on 1 click check box remains until it is either manually changed again or a new encounter is opened. Access the Practice Configuration Template

Click the File menu and select System \ Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All to see a complete list of practice templates. To access the Practice Configuration template, do one of the following: Double-click Practice Configuration. Select Practice Configuration and click OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. Configuring Preferences for Assessments

There are many settings configured at the practice-level on the Practice Configuration template that determine how patient assessments appear in the My Custom Plan template: Assessment Status- determines if recording the status of each diagnosis is a required element in the documentation of patient encounters Staff to Lookup Diagnosis- enables the provider to instruct support staff regarding diagnosis selection by tasking One Click Assessment- time-saving functionality that may or may not be enabled as per your practice's standards Problem List Note- determines whether the most recent note from the current user or from all users displays for the selected problem Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC)- when enabled, selecting an advanced radiology order that meets the criteria initiates related functionality and records data collected on the ACR score window Access the Practice Configuration Template Make an Assessment Status Required Hide or Show the Staff to Look up Diagnosis Link Bypassing t

Configuration Options in Assessment Section

The configuration in the Assessment section applies to diagnosis fields. Assessment section The Assessment section enables you to configure the following options: Assessment Status - If you select the Require Assessment Status check box: The provider must select the assessment status to add the assessment in the Today's Assessments grid on the run-time Add or Update Assessment template. The Status field on the Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan History template becomes mandatory and system shall display a message "Status is mandatory” in red font. Also, Copy All Dx/AP on the Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan History template will be hidden. Staff to Look up Diagnosis - If you select the Staff to Look up Diagnosis check box, the Staff to look up diagnosis code check box appears on the run-time Add or Update Assessment template. Add or Update Assessment template One Click Assessment - If you select the Add Assessments on 1 Click check box, the Add Assessments on 1-click check box is selected by default

Set Up Default Assessment Pages

You can set an assessment page as a default page for a provider or practice to add diagnoses. On the Specialty Common Assessment Config template, expand the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel. Note: By default, the active assessment pages are displayed in the grid. Select the assessment page to be assigned as default from the grid. The details of the selected page are filled in the corresponding fields. To set the assessment page as a default page for a provider, select the provider's name from the field for the Rendering column. To set the assessment page as a default page for the current practice, select Practice Default from the field for the Rendering column. Select Add/Update. Configuring Diagnosis Assessments and Status

You can configure diagnosis statuses and assessments on the Card Setup DAP Assessments window. The Diagnosis Status section lists assessments that can be used with any diagnosis. The Diagnosis Assessment section lists assessments that can only be used with a specific diagnosis, as indicated by the Diagnosis Group. Manage Diagnosis Statuses You can manage diagnosis statuses on the Card Setup DAP Assessments window. Add Diagnosis Assessments You can add diagnosis assessments on the Card Setup DAP Assessments window. Modify Diagnosis Assessments You can modify diagnosis assessment using the Card Setup DAP Assessments template in the System / Practice template.
