Progress Panel

You can monitor the progress of nursing care plans by reviewing the interventions in the Progress panel. The panel lists all intervention encounters, but you can filter the list to show only those encounters specific to an identified problem, a defined goal and an intervention type. Complete an Intervention

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty and Visit Type as Care Management. When the goal of an intervention has been achieved, you can complete the intervention. Completing the intervention removes it from the Interventions grid. On the Plan/Intervention tab, expand the Interventions panel. Select an entry on the Interdisciplinary Team Member column. The system displays the interventions designated for the selected team member type in the grid. Select the intervention that you want to update and click Edit. The Nursing Care Plan Data template appears. The template is populated with the data for the selected intervention. Select the Intervention complete option. Change any other enabled fields as needed. Click Save & Close. The intervention is completed and removed from the intervention panel. Parent topic: Interventions Panel

Remove a Goal Intervention

You can remove an intervention from the current encounter without restriction. You can also remove interventions from prior encounters, but you cannot remove an intervention from an earlier encounter if outcome data has been entered for that intervention during a subsequent encounter. From the navigation bar, click Care Plan. The Care Plan template appears. Navigate to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Click the goal in the left grid that has an intervention to be removed. The system populates the fields to the right of the grid with the data from the selected record. Update an Intervention

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty and Visit Type as Care Management. The interventions appear only if they are added in the Nursing Care Plan Data template in the History panel. On the Plan/Intervention tab, expand the Interventions panel. Select an appropriate entry from the Interdisciplinary Team Member column. The system displays the interventions designated for the selected team member type. Interventions Select the intervention that you want to update and click Add. The Nursing Care Plan Data template opens. The template is populated with the data for the selected intervention. Nursing Care Plan Data Note: The system populates the Team Member field with the name of the current user and the Intervention frequency field with the currently defined intervention frequency. Remove an Intervention Outcome

You can remove an outcome only in the encounter where the latest outcome was documented for that intervention. Open the patient encounter where the latest outcome for the intervention was documented. From the navigation bar, click Care Plan. The Care Plan template appears. Navigate to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Click the goal for which you what to remove an intervention outcome. The system populates the fields to the right of the grid with the data from the selected record. Click the Intervention tab. The full Intervention tab appears with the previously entered interventions in the grid. Select the intervention with an outcome to be removed. Click the Outcomes tab. The full Outcomes tab appears with the data for the selected intervention. Select the outcome to be removed from the grid. Click Remove. The system removes the outcome. Update an Intervention Outcome

You can modify all fields for an outcome entered during the current encounter. Since outcomes are encounter specific, you cannot view outcomes entered during previous encounters in the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel and therefore cannot modify those outcomes. You can view outcomes from previous encounter in the Care Plan History panel. From the navigation bar, click Care Plan. The Care Plan template appears. Navigate to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Click the goal for which you what to update an intervention outcome.
