Tabs	Description
Historic Data	Enables you to view the historical data of the devices implanted in a patient.
Expanded Grid	Enables you to view more interrogation data at a time.
Submit Charges	Enables you to submit codes for billing.
Comments	Enables you to add additional comments about the device and interrogation. You can select from the available comments, or type your comments.

Document Interrogation Data

You can document the interrogation details of a device. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the left Navigation bar, click Device. The Device - Card template opens. Select the Manual Entry check box. In the Interrogation Information section, click the Interrogation Data link. The Interrogation Data - Device template opens. Interrogation Data - Device In the Interrogation Data section, do the following: Enter the interrogation date, time, and underlying heart rhythm of the patient. Select the device to be interrogated. The interface type is automatically entered. Enter the symptoms of the patient. Select the dependency of the patient. Enter the life expectancy of the patient. Enter the last interrogation date and the voltage and impedance value of the battery. Enter the type of interrogation and the name of the provider who does the interrogation. Documenting Device Details

You can use the Device link on the navigation bar to document the details of an implanted cardiac device. While documenting the details of an implanted device on the Device - Card template, you must document each cardiac device and each of its associated leads as a unique device. For example, after you enter the details of a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), you must separately enter the device data for the associated device leads. For manually entering the device and interrogation details, you must select the Manual Entry check box on the Device - Card template. Add Cardiac Device Information You can search for the cardiac implantable devices and add implantable device information. Document Interrogation Data You can document the interrogation details of a device. Map Implantable Device Details You can map the existing device details to the Implantable Device module. Complete the Template and Submit Charges

When you have documented all procedure information, your final steps are to add any comments, capture any follow-up visit information, and then submit charges. Implantable Device Cardiac Observation (IDCO)

The configuration in the IDCO section applies to the Cardiology specialty. The Implantable Device Cardiac Observation (IDCO) setting enables you to configure the order of the interrogation device fields that you want to display in the Interrogation Information grid on the Device - Card template and on the card_docDeviceReport document. IDCO section The standard IDCO interface is used to capture interrogation data from the interrogated implantable cardiac device. The interrogation data is then imported to NextGen® Enterprise through NextGen® Clinical Message Manager. Histories Template

You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. The Histories template enables you to document a patient's social history, problem list, medical or surgical history, diagnostic study history, and family history. You can also add skin cancer details. Documenting the Patient History Summary You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details from the History Summary panel.
