You can use the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document the Obstetrics patient information. Documenting Obstetrics Visits Encounters You can document obstetrics visit encounters in the OB Prenatal- Initialand OB Postpartum visit encounters. Initial Prenatal Visit With the Initial Prenatal Visit type , you can document the prenatal visit in the navigation tabs. OB Intake Staff Workflow You can document the intake information in the Intake template. OB Provider Workflow You can document the provider information in the Prenatal Detail and SOAP template. Generate the OB Master Document

Select Obstetrics as the specialty and visit type as Prenatal Initial for an initial visit. Note: If the visit is a non-pregnancy-related visit, then select Office Visit - OB. Select the Preview button on the navigation bar or select the Master Document from the document button at the bottom of the SOAP tab. Note: You can select the Offline button on the navigation bar if offline document generation is set up. Document Diagnostic Details

Select the Prenatal Detail tab To view fetal growth graph, in the Diagnostic Studies panel, select the Fetal Growth Graph link. Diagnostic Studies The Crystal Report Viewer window opens, where you can view graphs of fetal weight versus gestational age, and fetal height versus gestational age from 24 weeks onwards. To view OB Diagnostics template, in Diagnostic Studies panel, select Add. The OB Diagnostics template opens, where you can view and update the Currently Pregnant status, Initial/Working EDD date, EGA age, and diagnoses; track diagnostic test results and order statuses, and process laboratory and diagnostic orders. Intake Template

In the Intake template, after selecting the Obstetrics specialty and the OB Prenatal Initial visit type, to document the patient information for the OB Prenatal Initial workflow, you can: View the alerts Record vital signs Document medications Document allergies Document a urine dipstick result Perform a depression check, if desired you may also use links to access additional templates, as needed: Standing Orders Adult Immunizations Peds Immunizations My Plan Procedures Order Management Update Lab Results Note: You can customize the links for the practice and associate them with a particular template so that different links can appear on different templates, if desired. Documenting Information in the OB Gestational Orders Template

You can access the OB Gestational Orders template from thePrenatal Detail > Order Labs > OBGYN Lab Master > Labs > Orders by Gestational Week. The lab results fills the Order Management template, Lab Results - Obstetrics template, the Order module, and the master document. Before using the OB Gestational Orders template, you have to select the OB Prenatal- Initial visit type and enter the applicable information in the Gestational Age tab.
