Pre-Procedure Care Panel on the ASC - Preprocedure Template

The Pre-procedure Care panel is used to document patient's Consent, Bill of Rights, preferred language, pre-procedure checklist, and any lab and/or medication details. The Allergies link opens the Allergies module to document the allergies details. The Medications link opens the Medications module to enter the patient's medication details. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, the details documented in this panel in the current encounter carry forward to the next encounter. Document the Interview Questions Panel

Expand the Interview Questions panel. The Allergies link opens the Allergies module. For more information, see Add the Allergy Details in Medication Allergies Module. The Medications links opens the Medications module. For more information, see Document the Patient's Medications. In the Answer field, select the appropriate answer for the question available in the Question field. An asterisk (*) appears to the left of the selected answer. Enter any Comment for the question being asked. You can enter comments without selecting an answer for the question. An alert message appears if the question is associated with an alert. Review the alert message and click OK. Note: An alert is pre-configured for the question in the ASC Preadmission Activity Config practice template. Medications Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The patient's medication details documented on the ASC -Scheduling Questions template or ASC - Pre admission template appear in the Medications panel of the ASC - Intake template. For information on the Medications module documentation, see Medications Module. The intake staff reviews and makes the necessary changes to the patient's medication details as appropriate on the ASC - Intake template. You can view the patient's active medications and the medications prescribed, modfied, and renewed during the selected encounter in the Medications panel. You can enter additional prescriptions for the patient, and reconcile the medications listed with what medications the patient is actually consuming and how the patient is consuming them. The No medications this encounter check box selection is encounter-based. If you select the No medications this encounter check box for a previous encounter and prescribe medication in a current encounter by selecting the Prescribed Elsewhere check box, then

Documentation Log Panel on the ASC - Postprocedure Template

The Documentation Log panel displays the procedure related entries in the grid documented on the ASC - Preprocedure and ASC - Intraprocedure templates. The clinicians can track the medications and assessments during post-procedure, and add a follow-up entry to the existing entries in the grid. The clinicians can also add a new entry in the panel. Procedure Orders Panel on the ASC - Postprocedure Template

The Procedure Orders panel displays the procedure orders documented on the ASC - Preprocedure and ASC - Intraprocedure templates. The clinicians can review the procedure orders and add or modify procedure orders after post-procedure evaluation. Discharge Documentation Panel on the ASC - Postprocedure Template

The Discharge Documentation panel is used to document discharge related items such as time of physician evaluation, time of patient discharge, patient belongings returned, and any adverse events experienced by the patient while in the ASC. After documenting discharge related information, the clinicians performs the sign off and generates the master document to maintain a reference of the procedures performed on the patient.
