Complete the Tuberculin Skin Test

You need to document tuberculin skin test reaction within 48 to72 hours. If the patient does not follow up within 72 hours then you need to reschedule for another skin test. Open Intake - Dermatology template. Expand the Orders panel and click Tuberculin Skin Test. The Tuberculin Skin Test template opens. In the Follow up section, to generate the TST test result document, click TST Result. In the Follow up section, do the following if the patient misses the appointment. Select the appropriate check boxes. Document Tuberculin Skin Test

The Tuberculin Skin Test is a common method to determine tuberculosis. This test determines whether a person has been infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis by measuring the body's immune response to TB has been stimulated. Open Intake - Dermatology template. Expand the Orders panel and click Tuberculin Skin Test. The Tuberculin Skin Test template opens. In the Risk assessment section, document the BCG immunization and country of origin details. To document additional details on the risk assessment, click TB Risk Assessment. Select an appropriate diagnosis from the Today's Assessment grid or add an assessment. To add an assessment, click Add Tuberculin Skin Test Assessment. Select the appropriate diagnosis from the resulting window. The selected diagnosis is added to Today's Assessment grid. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Create an encounter for a patient. Select the Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Office Visit. On the Intake -Dermatology template, go to the Orders panel. PT/OT Modalities Skin Check Completed Checkbox

The Modalities template has a Skin Check Completed checkbox in the lower right. Skin Check Completed checkbox highlighted on Modalities template If you mark Required here, if therapist has documented that a modality has been completed (for example, Electrical Stimulation or Hot/Cold Therapy), the therapist cannot submit charges on that encounter until they mark the Skin Check Completed checkbox. If you select Not Required, marking the checkbox is optional. If you select Hidden, the Skin Check Completed checkbox will not appear on the Modalities template. Shared Working Assessment

The group of templates that share the selected assessment for the patient. You can initially select or change the working assessment in any of the templates that share the working assessment. If a single assessment exists, the application selects it as the working assessment. If you remove one of multiple assessments on a template, you must select a new working assessment. On some templates, the working assessment appears in the Selected Diagnosis field, Selected Dx field, or Selected Assessment field. On other templates, the working assessment appears in the Today's Assessment grid. The last assessment or diagnosis you select on any of the following templates carries over as the working assessment when you open another template in the group.
