Document the Well Child Encounter Dynamically

You can dynamically document the reason for visit of a well child using the Well child HPI in the Reason for Visit panel. If the intake staff selects the Well child HPI reason during the intake process, the Well child HPI reason automatically appears on the Reason for Visit panel. If the intake staff does not select the Well child HPI reason, you can select the Well child HPI reason from the left pane. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Reason for Visit panel, click Well child HPI. The HPI template opens. HPI Note: By default, the application selects the well child age group in the Reason field based on the patient's date of birth. Reason for Visit for Well Child

You can use the Reason for Visit panel on the Pediatric SOAP template to review and update the reasons for visit added during the intake process. The Well child hpi appears on the grid automatically if you select Well child for Visit Type. Reason for Visit In addition to documenting the specialty specific reason for visit available in the left pane, you can also document a well child visit on the a generic HPI template by selecting Well child or Well child HPI in the Reason for Visit panel. In the Reason for Visit panel, you can: Review and update the social history of the patient using the Pediatric Social History link. Open the Interval History- Nutrition template using the Nutrition/Elimination link. Document substance use, psychiatric, placement, sexual practices, and child abuse history of the patient using the Confidential History link. View Orders and Lab Results

You can view all the orders and lab results of a well child visit. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Reason for Visit panel, click the Well child reason in the Reason for Visit grid. The Generic Free Form1 - HPI template opens. Click the Review of Test(s) link, and select a Category to view the orders and lab results of the patient. All the orders and lab results of the selected category appear in the grid. Review of Test Note: You can edit the order details to sign off on orders or add additional details to the ordered items using the Edit button. Access Well Child Dynamic HPI

In the Intake template, select the Specialty as Pediatrics and Visit Type as Well Child. Click the Pediatric SOAP tab. In the Reason for Visit panel, select well child hpi from the left pane. Pediatrics Well Child Reasons for Visit

The Well Child visit in Pediatrics enables you to document age-specific complaints for the following reasons for visit: Well Child birth to 1 Year Well Child 1-4 Years Well Child 5-10 Years Well Child 11-21 Years Note: This topic provides information on only those reasons for visit that opens dynamic HPI template associated with Pediatrics, Well Child visit. Treatment visits can be based on the non-laterality view as most patients do not have an issue that pertains to one side of the body or the other. Document Reason for Visit in OB Postpartum template

Select the Postpartum tab. Open the Reason for Visit panel: Enter any additional text in the Introduction field. The Introduction field automatically displays a statement describing the patient's age, gender, and reason for visit. The same statement appears on the Reason for Visit panel of the SOAP template. To view the nurse/MA comments, select the Intake Comments link to open the Intake Comments template. Do one of the following: Select the postpartum check reason for visit from the left pane. Select the Additional / Manage link and select the postpartum check option in the Reason for Visit template. Open the Postpartum Details – HPI template and enter the required information. To enter information in the Diagnostic History Entry template, select Diagnostics. To view the chief complaint and reason for visit in the Hopi Notes template, select Comments.
