Document the MPI Procedure

You can document the MPI procedure on the MPI-Card template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Intake template.
3. Select Specialty as Cardiology and Visit Type as Testing Only.
4. Click the MPI link.
   Note: To access the MPI-Card template, you can also click MPI from the left Navigation bar.
   The MPI-Card template opens.

   

5. Select the appropriate options in the Pre-procedure care section.
6. Enter the desired details in the Test/Patient Data section.
7. Click Add.
   The Adult Vital Signs template opens.
8. Enter the vital signs of the patient in the Adult Vital Signs template.
   Note: The vital signs automatically appear if they have been documented on the Home Page or Intake template.
9. In the Stress Data section, do the following.
   1. To select an option from the list, click the Stress agent field.
   2. For the selected stress agent, select the desired options in the Dose, Units, Expiration Date, Route, Site, Time and Administered by fields.
   3. Enter the details for Resting isotope, Stress isotope, Reversal drug 1, Reversal drug 2, and Additional meds.
   The values for Exercise time, MHR, BPM, Double product and, Maximum infusion have been retrieved from the Stress Test - Card template.
   The Pregnancy Status has been updated as per the selection made in the Test/Patient Data section.
10. Click Save.
