Document Stress Echo Procedures

You can document the stress echo procedures using the Stress Echo template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake tab, select Cardiology as Specialty and Testing Only as Visit Type. Click the Stress Echo link. Note: To access the Stress Test - Card template, you can also click Stress Echo from the left navigation bar. The Stress Test - Card template opens. Select the desired options in the Pre-procedure care section. Procedure Information on Stress Test - Card template Enter the desired information in the Test/Patient data section. In the Vital Signs panel, the values for the following fields display automatically. Predicted max heart rate is calculated based on the patient’s age. Predicted max heart rate 85% is calculated based on the patient’s predicted maximum heart rate. Predicted max O2 consumption is calculated based on the patient’s age and gender. Achieved VO2 consumption is calculated based on exercise duration. Percent VO2 achieved is calculated based on Achieved O2 con

Stress Echo

You can record the Stress Echo test details and create a test report. The Stress Echo template consists of the following panels. The Intake staff documents the procedure information in the Procedure Information panel, which includes pre-procedure care, test/patient data, vital signs, stress data, recovery data, and wall motion. Document the MPI Procedure

You can document the MPI procedure on the MPI-Card template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Select Specialty as Cardiology and Visit Type as Testing Only. Click the MPI link. Note: To access the MPI-Card template, you can also click MPI from the left Navigation bar. The MPI-Card template opens. MPI-Card - Procedure Information Select the appropriate options in the Pre-procedure care section. Enter the desired details in the Test/Patient Data section. Click Add. The Adult Vital Signs template opens. Enter the vital signs of the patient in the Adult Vital Signs template. Note: The vital signs automatically appear if they have been documented on the Home Page or Intake template. In the Stress Data section, do the following. To select an option from the list, click the Stress agent field. For the selected stress agent, select the desired options in the Dose, Units, Expiration Date, Route, Site, Time and Administered by fields. Enter the details for Resting isotope,

Document Summary of Echocardiogram Tests

You can document a summary of the Echocardiogram test in the Summary panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Click the Intake tab. Select Cardiology as Specialty and Testing Only as Visit Type. Click the Echo link to access the Echocardiogram template. In the Summary panel, click All Normal if all the results are normal. The Summary fields display the default statements for normal results. Enter a brief summary in the Summary field. Select an appropriate option from the list. Click the S icon to frame a sentence using the Sentence Builder template. Parent topic: Echo

Generate Patient Education Material

You can use the Education link to generate patient material. You can use the link to document stress tests, echo, vascular, and outpatient tests, and then print the report and issue it to the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Home Page - Cardiology template, click the Education link. Home Page - Cardiology template Education panel In the Education section, select the appropriate check boxes in the various subsections. The respective document automatically gets generated on selection of the check box of the subsection. Do one of the following: To print the document, click Print. Document Echocardiogram Procedures

You can document the Echocardiogram procedure from the Echocardiogram template on the Echo navigational link. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Select Cardiology as Specialty and Testing Only as Visit Type. Click the Echo link to access the Echocardiogram template. Note: You can also access the Echocardiogram template using the Echo link in the Navigation bar. Procedure Information Select the appropriate check box in the Pre-Procedure Care section. Enter the required information in the Test/Patient Data section. Document the vital signs of the patient. Note: The vital signs information automatically displays if it is already documented in the Home Page or Intake template. Enter appropriate values in the following columns. Technical Details Aortic Valve Mitral Valve Tricuspid Valve Dimensions Pulmonic Valve Additional Findings In the LV Systolic Function section, click each text box on the diagrams and select a value from the list. LV Systolic Function Click Save.
