Document the Equipment Details

  1. On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Categories panel.
  2. Click Equipment type to open a list of the pre-configured equipment types available in the grid and select an equipment type from the list.
  3. Double-click the top blank row in the list and enter a new equipment type in the Equipment type field, if the options in the list are not relevant.
    The Equipment type short description field auto-populates with the same value selected/entered in the Equipment type field.
  4. Click Category to open a list of categories pre-configured for the selected equipment type and select a category from the list.
  5. Double-click the top blank row in the list and enter a new category in the Category field, if the options in the list are not relevant.
    The Category short description field auto-populates with the same value selected/entered in the Category field.
  6. If you need to include a category for an inventory reference, select the Inventory reference check box.
  7. Click Add.
    The documented data appears in the grid. The left panes of the Equipment Log panel and Inventory panel are updated with the configured equipment types and associated categories.
