Document Registry-Based Exceptions
You can document a registry based exception.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- To open the Exception/Measures template, do one of the following:
- In the navigation bar, select the Exceptions/Measures link.
- On the Finalize template in the CPT II Claims Based Measure Reporting panel, select the Exceptions/Measures link.
- For Display, select one of the following:
- Provider Measures
- Exceptions (current template)
- Exceptions (all)
- Select a measure in the grid.
The details of the selected measure appear in the Measure Details and Exception Management sections.
- If applicable, select the exception class for the measure.
Note: If the measure exists in multiple exception class records, a window appears, where you can select the exception class. If Clinical Quality Measures (CQM) has single exception class, an exception class record is automatically selected.The details for exception class appear in the Exception Management section.
- In the Exception Management section, update any of the following fields:
- To select a different exception class for a measure with multiple exception classes, select the Class field or the blue arrow, and then select an option in the list.
- Select Item field or the blue arrow, and then select an option from the list.
- Select Exception field or the blue arrow, and then select an option in the list of exception items for the selected exception class.
- Select Details field or the blue arrow, and then select an option in the list of detail items for the selected exception.
- To indicate a permanent exception, select the This exception is permanent check box.
- Select Update.
- Select OK .
Note: When an exception expires on the Provider CQM Maintenance template, the exception on the Exceptions/Measures template displays an (Expired) prefix in the Exception column grid.
