Document Intake Workflow
- Select the postpartum check as the reason for visit.
- Enter vital signs in the Vital Signs panel.
- Review medications in the Medications panel.
- Review allergies in the Allergies panel.
- Select General ROS - Female in the Review of Systems panel.
The ROS - Female template opens.
If the provider has saved a list of questions to ask, select L. If a provider’s pre-set list of questions is used, ask each question and change the answer from negative to positive as appropriate.
If you select the Reproductive option, the postpartum depression details can only be recorded in the Postpartum Info template. The postpartum depression finding that used to be filled automatically in the Review of Systems (ROS) grid after selecting the Yes option in the Postpartum Details-HPI template in the Reason for Visit panel no longer displays in the ROS grid.
Note: It is not expected that each question on this template is asked or answered. However, only those items specifically asked (or indicated on a paper questionnaire) should have an answer indicated. - Select Save & Close.
- To generate the depression screen document, select the Generate Depression Document button.
The depression document is the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale document.
Some people generate the Edinburgh document and give it to the patient to complete. You can also use the Edinburgh Depression template from the Edinburgh Depression link.
- To generate an intake note, select the Generate Intake Note button.
The Histories template is not generally used during a postpartum visit if the patient is known to the practice. This tab is identical to the Histories template in the prenatal workflow.
